Miro Health files patent, positioning company to lead the charge on neurological phenotyping

Today, Miro Health filed a patent for the virtual identity verification tool for use in clinical trials. Virtual identity verification is required to expand clinical study participation beyond an institutional setting. To date, researchers have been constrained by in-person verification, limiting the geographic region of candidates and the number of participants.

Miro’s HIPAA and FDA compliant tool supports the a-synchronous identity confirmation of remote candidates, paving the way for scalable participation and the delivery of precision phenotypes that can accurately characterize participant data for large-scale studies.
